CoinHQ Tools handles two things that matter: your email address, and photographs of your inventory. This page says plainly what happens to both.
Who we are
CoinHQ Tools is operated by Signal Grove Digital, 6039 Cypress Gardens Blvd #563, Winter Haven, FL 33884. For anything on this page, write to hello@thecoinhq.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, so you can sign in and so we can reach you about your account. If you sign in with Google we receive your email address and name from Google, nothing else.
- The photographs you upload, and the cleaned images produced from them.
- What you type about your items: file names and whether you have approved an item.
- Usage records: how many items you have exported, so we can apply your plan allowance.
- Basic technical logs kept by our hosting provider, such as IP address and browser, used for security and to diagnose faults.
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookie we set is the one that keeps you signed in.
What we do with it
We use it to run the service: to sign you in, to cut out your photographs, to build your export, to count your usage against your plan, and to contact you about your account.
We do not use your photographs to train any model, we do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising. The background removal runs a fixed, pre-trained model; nothing you upload is fed back into it.
Where your photographs are processed
Worth stating plainly, because it is unusual. Cutting out an image is heavy work, so it does not run on a rented server. Your photograph is downloaded to a computer that Signal Grove Digital controls in Florida, processed there, and the result uploaded back to storage. The file is not kept on that machine after the job finishes.
Who else touches it
| Provider | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Accounts, database and file storage | United States (AWS us-west-2) |
| Vercel | Website hosting and delivery | United States |
| Sign-in, and only if you choose to sign in with Google | United States | |
| Signal Grove Digital (own hardware) | Image processing. Your photographs are downloaded to a machine we control, cut out, and the result uploaded back | United States (Florida) |
How long we keep it
Your photographs, both the originals and the cleaned versions, are kept until you delete them or until your account is closed. There is no automatic expiry today: if you upload something and never touch it again, it stays.
- Delete a batch and its photographs go with it.
- Close your account and we delete your photographs, batches and items within 30 days.
- Usage records are kept for up to 7 years, because they are billing records.
- Server logs are kept for up to 30 days.
If you would like everything removed sooner, email hello@thecoinhq.com and we will do it within 30 days.
Your rights over your data
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Have it deleted.
- Export your images and data at any time, without asking, using Download all.
If you are in California, the CCPA gives you these rights explicitly, and we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there. If you are in the UK or EU, the UK GDPR and GDPR give you these rights; our basis for processing is performing the contract you have with us, and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
Security
Your files sit in private storage that is not readable by URL, and every account is isolated at the database level so one customer cannot read another's rows or files. Images are served through short-lived signed links. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if we ever learn of a breach affecting your data.
Children
This is a tool for businesses. It is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that materially affects you, we will email you before it takes effect. See also our Terms.
